DEMCO LIBRARY INTERIORS EVOLVED FROM CUSTOMER DEMAND AND OUR DESIRE TO PROVIDE A COMPLETE OFFERING OF SERVICES TO COMPLEMENT OUR FURNITURE OFFERINGS

As our furniture offering became more important to the U.S. market, we experienced a growing number of requests for help with the conceptual end of creating library spaces.

In 1998, DEMCO began to offer solutions under the title of Custom Library Design Services
These services offered assistance from the first sketches of a library design through opening day. The response from librarians and educators was overwhelming. Nothing encourages expanded services more than satisfied customers. We received letters of thanks.

In 2001, we opened the DEMCO Design Center
With such a warm response, we focused our efforts on adapting to the changing needs of the developing library spaces. As our focus widened, we began dealing with complete environments. Working on projects of different scopes, we demonstrated how the right style and attention to detail allows otherwise ordinary objects to create extraordinary atmosphere.

As we evolved, we recognized that librarians and educators all over the U.S. were in need of a more complete specialization of services in library design solutions. Once again we expanded our focus and recognized that we had the experience to support a separate business to satisfy demand.

In 2003, DEMCO Library Services was developed as a company focusing on library design and project management
As a company focused on developing library interiors, a group of specialists were put into place to focus on the developing the library interior business. Trevor Taylor became president of the new entity and brought with him international library expertise dating back to 1977.  In addition, interior designers, project management staff, and field sales representation were added to better serve the market.

Today, DEMCO Library Interiors offers a cooperative approach to everything from design & layout, product procurement, project management, product development, and installation. Your project will be completed on time, within budget, and with continuing follow-up.

As libraries evolve through the current period of finding balance between book-stock knowledge and electronic information, DEMCO Library Interiors pledges to keep pace and provide leadership in developing warm, welcoming, and productive environments.
